Mustafa Maknassa joined the team of fieldworkers in January 2008. Mustafa was born in Morocco in 1959 where he received his primary and secondary education. He then went to University Mohammed V in Rabat, but had an opportunity to teach Arabic abroad, so Mustafa left his university for training in 1984, and ended up in the UK in summer 1986. He has been teaching Arabic in and around London since then. Mustafa has an Honours degree in Arabic studies and an MA in Arabic/English-English/Arabic translation studies. He's also about to complete his second MA in Islamic Studies.
