The Project

Moroccan Memories Film Documentary

The production of a 30 min short film documentary is aiming to visually complement the sound and written record of the Moroccan diasporic experience across generations in Britain. The film will attempt to reconstruct visually the respective living transnational memories of these individuals. The documentary will also highlight the way some traditions and customs have evolved from the way they were practised back 'home' and the way they have been re-defined in Britain (e.g. marriage ceremonies, religious celebrations etc).

The projection of the documentary in various settings will not only be informative from a historical perspective, but will also open the debate for further discussions on issues of multiple belonging, integration and today multiethnic Britain.

Further information will be available soon on the website about this specific project activity.
